"We got in touch with Joanne when two weeks after we brought him home, our 16 week old golden retriever puppy was showing signs of separation anxiety. Having not had a full nights sleep in two weeks we were beginning to feel a bit desperate. Joanne was fantastic, we had weekly training sessions at home so the whole family could be involved in our puppy's basic training, Joanne also emailed info sheets weekly which were really helpful. When we first met Joanne we couldn't leave Bailey alone for two minutes before he started showing signs of anxiety, with Joanne's expertise, support and encouragement we can now leave him comfortably for around three and half hours. We thoroughly recommend Joanne to anyone looking for 1:1 dog training and help regarding separation anxiety".

"Joanne has a very in depth understanding of dogs and was excellent in helping our lurcher Frankie with his behaviour issues. Great support at all times. Plus the training class we went to with our new lurcher puppy Arnie was amazing."

"We started puppy training classes with Jo when our dog was only 12 weeks old. Like most pups ours was a bit of a handful, loved a good chew and didn't particularly understand our commands. Jo was great as she taught us techniques as much as teaching Donald what's wrong and what's right. He really seemed to respond to the positive rewards technique as well. Jo is clearly a dog lover and has fantastic knowledge of all breeds which was very insightful. Our 6 month pup is still a rascal - but has really kept on board what we were taught through our 1:1 sessions with Jo."

“Our three year old labradoodle Sootsi has been going to doggy daycare with Jo since he was 16 weeks. I have always felt that he was happy and secure at daycare. Perhaps more importantly it is obvious that Sootsi loves Jo. She is not only good with the dogs but always has had time to give me advice about behaviour and has taken the time to send me various articles on some problems that we have had with Sootsi. I have no hesitation in recommending Jo to others. In fact, were I ever in a position where I could not look after Sootsi anymore, Jo would be the first person I would ask to adopt him.”

" Hi Joanne, I thought you would like to hear that the training leaflets and information you gave me have been really helpful - Bouncers recall is getting better and better - I've been really pleased with him, and touch wood, have had no more incidents with sheep!"

"Hi Joanne. Penny seems to be gaining confidence daily and has allowed a few people to speak to her with no barks. Since changing Penny's diet she is much happier and energetic (although maybe that's partly because she's more settled with us now?) She is excited to go on her walks, and comes running when we call her for them. She has discovered that she is a hound and spends much more time exploring with her nose, which is lovely. We do feel there has been a lot of progress and she definitely enjoys being out and walking generally".

"Hi Joanne, Poppy does now respond to the clicker and associates this with a treat. Sometimes it can be a little tricky judging the point at which she doesn't react, especially when other dogs approach her unexpectedly. We continue to work at it and will keep you updated. She is much more settled now in her bed in the utility room - much easier now the fireworks have finished".

"Hi Joanne
Massive difference with Brodie's behaviour, he seems more relaxed and content and a few other people in my family who come to visit my mum has also mentioned it to.
A big thank you to you".

"Just a few words to let you know how Wallace is doing. When we first got him he had issues with guarding his bed and female owner. With help from Springer Rescue Scotland (through their behaviourist, Joanne Drysdale) Wallace is coming on in leaps and bounds. The guarding of his bed is very little to what it used to be and he has become very close to Martin after a rocky start.. Anyone who meets him says what a lovely dog he is in nature and looks and neighbours and our dog walker have said they see a change in him for the better".

" Hi Jo, Millie has been doing well especially at my weekly walks with Meg, she now looks forward to it. It definitely would be good for you to come back and gave me more practical help. It's really good how you connect with Millie and fully understand her behaviour. The guidance you are giving me is great".
